About Bailey

Bailey McCully has taught and performed across North America and internationally. While traveling and dancing with new communities is a wonderful part of the job, Bailey happily calls Bellingham, Washington home. Bailey works with dancers of all ages, from teens and tinies in Bellingham schools to adults. Her background and work in education has made pedagogical excellence both a passion and defining quality. Bailey always aims to create a class culture in which students feel supported and uplifted as they learn. While technique is always a component, Bailey focuses on teaching students about how they can move rather than how they should move. She loves to explore personal style and creativity with her students, using the music as the constant source of guidance and inspiration. Just as jazz music lets you hear the personality of the musician, Bailey believes that jazz dancing should reflect the personality of the dancer. Dancing with a partner or dancing solo, Bailey radiates the joy of jazz with every step.

Nathan Dias has been swing dancing since 1997 and lindy hopping since 2000, with over two decades of experience as a social dancer, performer, competitor, and teacher. Based in San Francisco, he’s best known as the organizer of Cat’s Corner, the city’s legendary Wednesday night swing dance party running since 2006. Nathan teaches regular group and private Lindy Hop classes, drawing on a deep background of workshops, performances, and competition experience — and a firm belief that dancing should always be joyful and fun.

His teaching has taken him beyond the Bay Area to international workshops in Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, and Denmark. In the classroom, Nathan blends solid technique with an infectious enthusiasm for creativity, musicality, and connection.
