Our New Home at 435 Broadway Street, SF (near Columbus)
Cat’s Corner is stepping into its newest—and most exciting—life at 435 Broadway Street, right in the heart of North Beach, San Francisco. Just steps from the historic Barbary Coast, this neighborhood has been a home for jazz, nightlife, and social dancing for over a century—making it the perfect place to bring swing dancing back where it belongs.
This storied building was once home to Broadway Studios, a beloved early-2000s swing dance hub, and we’re thrilled to revive that legacy on this legendary corner of the city.
The revitalized venue features a spacious main ballroom with a grand stage and classic balcony, a full-service bar, and a welcoming side room for classes and social hangouts. Steeped in history and reimagined by a new collective of artist-organizers, the space blends old-San-Francisco soul with fresh creative energy.
It’s elegant, lively, and built for music, movement, and community—everything Cat’s Corner has always been about. Come dance into the next chapter with us.
Parking & Getting Here
Street Parking
Street parking is possible in the neighborhood. We’ve found Sansome Street between Broadway and Green to be a reasonably good bet, though you should expect a short uphill walk. Always observe posted street signs, and as with any city parking situation, use common sense: leave valuables at home and never leave anything visible in your car.
Paid Parking Lots
There are paid lots nearby at 425 Broadway and 470 Broadway, plus a larger lot at 900 Sansome Street. Be sure to check entry/exit restrictions and fee structures in advance—each lot is a little different.
Walking You to Your Car
Heading out late and want a little extra peace of mind? Just ask—our staff or volunteers are happy to walk you to your car after the dance.
